brief description

The aim of the course is to provide participants with knowledge of the main challenges to human rights law resulting from technological and geopolitical developments. The microdegree will give an overview of the concept of new human rights, the theoretical discussion surrounding it and discuss the main new human rights. The graduates will able to participate in discussions in relation to corporate social responsibility and the human rights obligations of businesses.

Government officials; officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs; members of NGOs; lawyers working on human rights issues; others.

Learning outcomes

understands the debate on the new concept of human rights; understands the mechanisms of the emergence of new human rights; understands the emergence of new human rights, the concept of new human rights and the relationship with traditional human rights.

Mart Susi is the Professor of Human Rights at Tallinn University and the Head of the Law study area. Karolina Jozefina Aksamitowska is the
Lecturer of International Law. Dr Šejla Maslo Cerkic is a Doctor of Legal Science based at the Faculty of Law, Džemal Biejdić“ University of Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
