Objective

The study is oriented on people working in industry in a field of design of digital products. The study will provide knowledge about research design and evaluating digital products that have aim for behaviour change.

4. Design for Behaviour Change
5. User Experience Evaluation

Learning outcomes

Upon completing the course, the student can:
- Apply psychological principles to digital design: Demonstrate an understanding of cognitive processes, motivation, emotion, and social influences, and effectively apply these psychological foundations to interaction design challenges;
- Implement human-centered design methodologies: Select and utilize appropriate human-centred design methods, create low- and high-fidelity prototypes following usability principles, and adapt design processes to specific behaviour change contexts;
- Develop evidence-based behaviour change strategies: Apply theoretical knowledge of behavioural psychology to design effective digital interventions that facilitate sustainable behaviour modification through appropriate techniques;
- Integrate behavior change techniques into digital products: Combine interaction design skills with behaviour change principles to create digital technologies that effectively promote health and positive behavioural outcomes;
- Evaluate and refine digital behaviour change interventions.

Requirements

There are no prerequisites, but work experience in the design and research field is highly recommended.

Teacher's competencies

MSc or PhD degree in design, research, or psychology and experience in training adults.

Graduation requirements

The learner must attend each course in person, complete individual tasks, and work in groups. Most activities take place in class, but in some courses, Zoom sessions may be organized if necessary.
