Objective
The goal of the course is to give an overview of European countries’ foreign policy and how it has developed. The second goal is to teach students to analyse foreign policy in general
Content
The course starts with a theoretical background of foreign policy analysis. After that the course tours around Europe looking at different regions and their visions. All countries are touched upon and more interesting ones are elaborated. The course will focus on explaining the backgrounds for countries’ current and future foreign policy choices.
Learning outcomes
Student who has finished the course:
- knows the basics of European countries foreign policy
- understands how that foreign policy has been developed
- is prepared for future studies in political sciences
