Target group

youth workers, trainers, youth leaders, youth policy makers, youth field managers, youth researchers, youth service providers and anyone with an interest in youth work and youth policy

Objective

Supervising other youth workers and/or students; planning and analysing work processes and results together; collecting, transmitting and analysing information; giving feedback and speaking in public. Students will be allowed to participate in management processes and cooperation (including networks) and to practise public speaking, including showcasing youth work and its values. Links will be established between social theories, youth work theories and placement. Students will practise self-reflection skills and give meaning to the need for self-development.

Content

During professional placement, other youth workers or students will be supervised, important information related to the practical base, including theoretical materials, will be analysed; ongoing work processes and results will be analysed and feedback will be given; public speaking. Students will practise self-reflection throughout the course and will support other youth workers or students in their professional development and self-reflection. Students will take part in the management processes of an institution or organisation and participate in cooperation meetings and networking activities. A challenge/task will be planned for Practice in Youth Work II, taking into consideration their professional interests, recommendations and needs of the placement organisation and the initial assignment given as part of the course.

Modern premises supporting the study process are provided: there is the necessary equipment, the possibility to design the room according to the need, sufficient opportunities for group work, etc.

Teacher's competencies

At least Master Degree, adult training experience, at least 5 years of experience in education

Graduation requirements

Working with required literature, participation in practical work and seminars and. Traineership analysis.
