Target group
employees in a multicultural environment, as well as those who want to learn more about managing intercultural communication in an organization
Objective
prepare to recognize, understand and overcome cultural differences; acquire knowledge and practical skills that help to understand people with different cultural backgrounds, prevent possible cultural conflicts and solve problems arising in a multicultural situation, valuing the mother tongue and culture of all participants; get to know behavior patterns caused by cultural differences, language, culture and identity problems of a multicultural society, possibilities of overcoming expression difficulties and language enrichment; learn to apply theory in practice.
Content
Cultural dimensions and models of multicultural society. National borders versus cultural borders. Identity (ethnic, linguistic). Intercultural communication in the workplace. Behavioral cultural components: attitude to time, space. Manifestations of discrimination and racism. Stereotypes. Values. Communication techniques. Tolerant attitude towards people's cultural and national differences, its expression in behavior
Learning outcomes
knows about cultural differences and how they affect communication; uses this knowledge in his professional work; understands conversational behavior and identity at a critical level; orients himself in the main directions of intercultural studies, applies the most important theories in practice; has developed himself to work in a multicultural environment

Modern rooms that support the learning process are guaranteed: there is the necessary technology, the possibility to design the room according to the need, enough separation possibilities for group work.
Teacher's competencies
PhD, experience in training adults and experience in the field
Graduation requirements
Learning methods: cultural games (role plays, learning situations, etc.), lectures (brainstorming, presentation of new material, discussion, etc.), group work, pair work, independent work, reflection, discussion, analysis of personal feelings and experiences.
